We are a dynamic team united by a shared engagement with science — spanning the humanities and the natural sciences. Our individual and collective experiences, built through projects of varying scale, format, and audience, equip us to work across diverse modes of science communication.
The Science Media Centre undertakes institutional collaborations, commissioned projects, and in-house productions. Alongside original content creation, the Centre offers science and educational media services to members of IISER Pune and other research institutions.

STUDIO
This room is designed with highly soundproof walls and a green screen with lighting set up. From NPTEL courses to interviews and research talks to science activities; this area is open to the recording of all sorts of scientific activities.
CONTROL ROOM
We can call this place as the 3rd eye of SMC. Here, we have a Newtek TriCaster live mixer system which operates with multiple cameras in real time. This system is highly efficient and user-friendly where live editing is possible.
POST PRODUCTION LAB
This is the second home for all the members of the Science Media Centre, IISER Pune; the liveliest space in the media center. This is the origin of all our imaginations, creations and ambitions. Here, we learn, we teach and we share information. A place where knowledge is valued as the highest treasure.
Softwares: DaVinci Resolve, Blender, UCSF Chimera, ChemDraw & the Adobe Creative Suite.
Collaborating with the Science Media Centre enables researchers and educators to translate their work into high-quality, engaging learning and communication formats. The Centre supports IISER Pune faculty — as well as other institutes and organisations — in planning and developing online courses, MOOCs, lecture series, and digital resources from concept to execution. We offer project planning consultation, audiovisual production support, studio access, and post-production services to transform research and teaching into impactful public-facing material. As partners and consultants, we help structure content, design communication strategies, and manage production workflows, enabling institutions to build accessible and credible science education initiatives.
