Water is at the very heart of our being, our society, our systems. This omnipresence makes it the heart of social divide and injustice. As the water crisis grows, so will the inequalities. Conflicts and climate change have and will only further intensify these challenges.

The AQUAMUSE project led by Prof. Sara Ahmed and Dr. Shalini Sharma aims to Facilitate Just and Sustainable Water Futures through Water Museums, Digital Media, and the Arts.

Effective science communication has the power to influence minds towards STEM professions and research. Our work in education reaches out to a number of people across the country to better understand concepts, to engage in a range of science courses and to make science engage with the public.

We collaborate with institutions, organisations, and government departments to create engaging science videos that bring ideas to life for curious minds everywhere. Within IISER Pune, we partner with faculty to develop thoughtful online courses, including as a production partner with NPTEL. Our work sits at the intersection of education and public engagement — crafting content that is rigorous yet accessible, and nurturing a wider culture of scientific curiosity, one well-made video at a time.
